Every year on May 28, we celebrate World Nutrition Day with the intention of reflecting on the importance of proper nutrition that helps us feel good. This philosophy inspires the creation of this space: #KiwiTeCuida. We want to provide you with all the ideas and tools to cook deliciously, easily, and also take care of yourself. All the recipes contained here are endorsed by professional nutritionists, and in each one, you will find the caloric and nutritional counts validated by the USDA. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines nutrition as the intake of food in relation to the dietary needs of the organism. Good nutrition (an adequate and balanced diet combined with regular physical exercise) is a fundamental element of good health. Therefore, this Monday, May 31, on our official Instagram, Chef Colibrí Jiménez will prepare 2 recipes for light tacos al pastor, because we know that in Mexico we love tacos and al pastor preparations. Especially because we want to share with you that leading a balanced, harmonious, and healthy lifestyle does not mean sacrificing flavor or restricting your diet. Also, next Monday, June 7, we will hold a conversation: Myths and Realities in Nutrition. A talk with Shadia Asencio, Editorial Director of Kiwilimón, and Jennifer Asencio, a clinical nutritionist specialized in diabetes for over 20 years. In this live session, you can ask all your questions regarding nutrition and how to have healthy eating habits, as well as learn about all the myths surrounding this topic through specialized sources. Follow the transmissions of #KiwiTeCuida here on Mondays at 6 PM!
