Tequila is a spirit made in Mexico through the distillation of fermented mash obtained from the heart of the mezcal. Of all the mezcals produced in our country, undoubtedly the most famous comes from the Tequila region, located about 15 leagues northwest of Guadalajara, Jalisco. The difference between this drink and other mezcals lies in the fact that it is produced industrially, with quality standards, and has a designation of origin. Types of tequila There are basically three types of tequila: blanco, reposado, and añejo. - Blanco is transparent like water. It is obtained immediately after the second distillation. Many connoisseurs prefer it because its flavor is purer. - Reposado is obtained after the blanco tequila has been aged for at least two months in oak barrels. Its color tends to be slightly similar to that of wood. Its flavor is slightly smoother than that of blanco. It is the most consumed. - Añejo is aged for at least one year in the same wooden barrels. It is darker than reposado, and its wood flavor is more pronounced. For those drinking tequila for the first time, añejo may be the most recommended. Each distillery makes variations of these three types. Some dilute them with water, flavorings, or colorings and call it tequila abocado. The best tequila Once you have chosen a tequila that you are sure was made with quality, the best tequila will always be, without a doubt, the one you like the most, the one that suits you well, the one that fulfills your desires for aroma and flavor, for harshness or smoothness in the throat. We recommend trying many, discovering subtle differences between them; establishing your preferences and daring to change them if the evidence requires it. Each person's taste is the key to good tequila. Being able to compare is the wide or narrow space of choice we offer to our taste. Indulge in exercising your taste. Discover the best tequila and share it by saying: This is the best, but don't forget to add, the best for me.
