Mexipan, the international fair for the bread industry, and supplier for the baking, pastry, chocolate, and ice cream sectors in Mexico, will take place for the twelfth time from August 22 to 25, 2012, at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.
This event is held every two years and is organized by the National Association of Professional Suppliers of the Bread, Pastry, and Similar Industries (ANPROPAN) and the National Chamber of the Bread Industry and Similar Industries of Mexico (CANAINPA).
The objective of the event is to showcase all the innovations and market trends, as well as technologies, raw materials, machinery, equipment, and services, through the offerings of more than 180 national and international exhibiting companies in a 16,000 square meter exhibition area.
According to ANPROPAN, 90 percent of the population in Mexico consumes white bread and sweet bread, with an annual per capita consumption of 32.5 kilograms. Furthermore, there are nearly 45,000 establishments in the country that make up the bakery and pastry market, a vast productive sector that the supply and services presented at Mexipan 2012 will target.
During the four days of the fair, an extensive and complete program of training, education, and updating activities will also be provided, including courses, conferences, demonstrations, and special events, whose contents will be of great interest to professionals and those in charge of the artisanal and industrial sectors of bakeries, pastry shops, confectionery, chocolate, hospitality, pizzerias, restaurants, industrial cafeterias, hospitals, and coffee shops.
It is worth mentioning that 5 high-level courses will be offered with chefs who are internationally awarded with the title MOF as Best Craftsman of France (Meilleur Ouvrier de France), a unique recognition in the world awarded by the Ministry of Labor of France to the best craftsmen in different specialties.
