For a long time, I have heard about the incredible benefits of coconut for our bodies, and coconut oil for caring for both our skin and hair.
Based on that, I decided to try another coconut-based ingredient. This one was recommended to me to restore damaged or dry hair: coconut milk.
Our hair is made up of proteins, and when these start to deplete, the hair becomes dry, brittle, lacks shine, or tends to fall out. To remedy this, we need to replenish the proteins it is losing, and we can find those in coconut milk.
You can buy this ingredient at a pharmacy or even at the supermarket. All you need to do is apply a considerable amount (let's say about 3 coins of 10 pesos) to your scalp, right at the roots.
Spread it well and then let it sit for about 5 minutes. After that, run it through the rest of your hair using a wide-tooth comb, so that everything is well covered.
Cover your head with a plastic cap and leave the milk on for about an hour, or as long as possible. To finish, rinse with warm water. I recommend doing this routine once a week after washing your hair with your regular shampoo... Besides replenishing protein, your hair will smell delicious!
When it feels silkier and shinier, reduce the frequency to once every 15 days, and adjust as you see results.
