We all know classic rice recipes, whether it's Mexican rice, rice pudding, or plain white rice. Today we give you some tips to add it to other dishes and give a new dimension to the use of rice in cooking.   1.- As a salad This is not very common in the West, but in the Middle East, it is quite well-known. The idea is to treat rice, whether white or brown, as a base, just like lettuce. From there, you can add olives, peppers, sweet corn, vinegar, olive oil, and nuts. This way, your salad will not only be tasty but also rich in fiber.   2.- In your soup We know that chicken or vegetable broth goes well with white rice, but this is not the only possible mix. Try adding a bit of white rice to your bean or tomato cream; they will give it a thicker and richer texture. It can also work well with pepper or carrot cream; the idea is to add the fiber and all the benefits of rice to a vegetable base, thus obtaining a rich and complete dish.   3.- Mixed rice We don't have to choose. Different rices, with different flavors, preparations, sizes, and textures can be mixed to create a spectacular starter. For example, brown rice mixed with cilantro green rice is a very tasty mix. Wild rice with seafood mixed with jasmine or long-grain rice helps balance strong and neutral flavors.   4.- Sushi It's true; sushi is becoming an increasingly popular alternative, but few dare to make it with their hands at home. The truth is, it's not difficult at all. Some sticky steamed white rice and a bamboo mat that you can find in any Asian store is all you need. Once you have both and some seaweed sheets, all you have to do is let your imagination fly, fill your roll with your favorite ingredients, and enjoy!   5.- Arancini In Italy, there is a very famous street food dish called arancini, which is essentially a ball of rice that contains minced meat inside and is then breaded and fried. Following these steps, you can create your own arancini or croquettes with the rice of your choice and, of course, the filling you desire. It’s not difficult at all; you just need the rice to be a little moist to completely cover the filling without falling apart and then adhere to the breading.   Rice Recipes Brown Rice Salad with Spinach Mushroom Jasmine Soup Sushi Balls with 2 Sauces   And you, how do you add this ingredient to your dishes?
