The food prepared for your baby must have the proper care and dedication so that they receive the necessary nutrients for their growth, in addition to helping prevent diseases that could lead to more severe health complications today and in the future.

To achieve the correct preparation of your baby's purees, we recommend the following:
First, wash your hands and wash the fruits and vegetables, as well as all the containers and utensils you will use.
All vegetables (and fruits like apples and prunes, which need to be softened) should be cooked before mashing or pureeing them. To preserve vitamins and minerals, bake, boil, or steam the fruits or vegetables until they are soft. If boiling, use as little water as possible and add a bit of that liquid to your baby's food when mashing it (or add the fruits or vegetables to your family's soup broth).
Peel and remove the seeds from the fruits or vegetables. Some of these may not need any liquid added when preparing them. You can simply mash them. Others will need a little liquid; you may want to add a small amount of breast milk, formula, or water when mashing or pureeing to achieve the desired consistency.
As your little one adapts to solid foods, you can add less liquid. If the fruit has seeds, strain it before giving it to your baby.
To prepare chicken and meat, remove the skin and fat before cooking. Then, blend the cooked meat in a blender or grinder with a little liquid. For older babies, you can cut it into very small pieces.
If all of this seems like a lot of work, remember that homemade baby food can be the same food you feed the rest of the family. It's an old tradition worth reviving. Just use the grinder or another appliance to puree, blend, or mash some of the same food your family has for dinner.
Soups and stews can be prepared to feed your baby. The same goes for the healthier foods your family consumes. Store any leftovers in empty baby food containers. This way, you'll have their little meal ready for the next day!
