There’s nothing better than watching your baby grow and experience their achieved milestones during that growth. Here we list, for you to keep in mind, at what age your baby should start conquering those achievements.
As each moment approaches, prepare the camera because you don’t want to miss any little debut in your baby's repertoire.
The first (meaningful) smile
It’s true that you can see a baby smile just days old, but the truth is that it’s at two months when infants show that happy grin with intention as a reaction to something that brought them happiness, laughter, or joy.
First full night of sleep
Those who have had children know how tough the first months are in terms of accumulated lack of sleep. The nights feel long and fatigue increases, and while everything is worth it, one always looks forward to the 3 or 4 months of the baby to experience those first nights when they sleep through.
First crawl
The moment for your baby to start rolling around the house, in their own time, is around 8 to 9 months. It is during these months that they start to crawl and personally discover their surroundings.
First word
If there were a favorite among the “firsts,” this would probably win because hearing your baby's first word is unmatched. While some little ones may be a bit quicker or slower to achieve it, it’s normal for them to utter that first word between 10 or 12 months after birth.
First steps
We need to be attentive during this stage because babies who start taking their first steps won’t stop moving for quite some time. Here the spectrum opens up as there are babies who manage to walk as early as ten months, although the average does so after a year, around 13 months. Don’t be alarmed if your baby takes a little longer because it’s still within the normal range for those little steps to happen by 17 months.
