Three Mexican corners with the democratic charm of eating something unique, delicious, and at a good price. These are must-visit stops for any traveler who enjoys urban food. Tortas del Wash Mobile, TijuanaTijuana is the land of asada tacos. From Avenida Revolución to the road that goes to Rosarito, you'll find great taquerías. However, what is taco can also be torta, and the great discovery of this winning combination belongs to Juan Manuel Hernández, who set up his taquería in the busiest car wash in Tijuana in 1964. One day he prepared his serving of asada in a telera with mayonnaise, tomato, onion, and avocado, and upon tasting it, he discovered that this would be the twist of his business. The mythical Wash Mobile tortas are still in the hands of his children, who have expanded the business with new branches, preserving the same delicious flavor of their father's recipe. It's a challenge to tackle the iconic Tijuana torta both for its size and the juice that overflows.Address: Av. Jalisco 2424, Centro, 22040 Tijuana, B.CMariscos El Güero, Ensenada On the Costero Boulevard of Ensenada, you will find El Güero, a seafood cart with a product that overflows with freshness. They have ceviches, cocktails, aguachiles, tostadas, and conchas. The tostadas are my favorites; they come with aguachile, shrimp, squid ceviche, and even some special ones where the combination of seafood is to your liking. Their house sauce will give a perfect spicy touch to your seafood. Find it at Mariscos El Guero Ensenada Address: Alvarado and Lázaro Cárdenas, Ensenada, Baja California 22870 The burritos of Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua The best burritos loaded with asadero cheese and stew are from Villa Ahumada. They are located on the Pan-American highway, very close to Ciudad Juárez and an hour and a half from Chihuahua, with 24-hour service. Among the stews you can choose for your burritos are their beef with potatoes and red chili or the green version, with beans, pork cracklings with green chili, stuffed chilaca peppers, or dried chilies. If you like burritos, you won't find any others like these. Address: Pan-American Highway (federal 45). Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua.
