Desserts like bread and cakes are a must-have in everyone's life, and at Campanita, by Chef Gabriela Fuente, they understand this better than anyone. This is the recommendation of the week, made by our Chef Yamilette González, who assures that Campanita's secret to creating the best fondant cakes and bread is their great passion for what they do. “My favorite is a classic that cannot be missing at any celebration, the tres leches cake, which has the perfect amount of milk that covers a fluffy vanilla-flavored sponge cake filled with seasonal fruits; each bite is simply heavenly,” Chef Yamilette tells us. Campanita started as a personal project originating in Chef Gaby's home, who now has her own shop at Reforma #22, Tulantongo, Texcoco. Gaby tells us that her source of inspiration was the beauty of flowers and colors. Chef Gaby loves making cakes and pies with fruits; in fact, her favorite is the cheese pie with red fruits, but that's not all that the creator of Campanita has achieved. Gaby also draws inspiration from social media trends to prepare new things; she loves to innovate in baking, always taking care to maintain traditional recipes while adding an original and unique touch. Chef Gaby is guided by the aroma of the highest quality ingredients she finds in traditional markets, which allows her to create the most incredible cakes, including cakes shaped like numbers, made with sponge cake in different flavors such as coffee, red velvet, rompope, cream cheese, vanilla, and chocolate, undoubtedly the favorites of her clientele! The best-selling bread is the orange croissant and the guava braid with cheese, and what can we say about the king cakes, the sensation of the season that starts in late November and ends in early February, where you can find cakes filled with cream, cheese with red fruits, cheese with guava, cheese with apple, and chocolate. Due to high demand, Chef Gaby plans to open a larger place where people can enjoy coffee and cake. So now you know, if you are in Texcoco, you cannot miss the opportunity to enjoy the delicious desserts from Campanita.
