Every year, on the first Friday of August, International Beer Day is celebrated. Today, we invite you to learn a little more about this global celebration and some recommendations to celebrate this drink in style. The Beer Day was invented by Jesse Avshalomov, Evan Hamilton, Aaron Araki, and Richard Hernández. They were all in the beach community of Santa Cruz, California, when they thought that beer deserved a full day to commemorate it. At that time, it was the year 2007, and fueled by conversation and a few beers, they decided to take their project to a larger scale, with three purposes:Gather with friends and enjoy the taste of beer.Honor those responsible for brewing and serving beer.Unite the world under the banner of beer and celebrate all of them in one day.The celebration became famous in the western United States but soon gained relevance and became a global celebration that, to this day, includes 207 cities, 80 countries, and 6 continents.Currently, International Beer Day is the perfect time to recognize the cultural, social, and economic importance of one of the most consumed beverages in the world. Let's remember that Mexico is the fourth largest beer producer in the world, with an average annual growth of 2% and that the beer industry generates more than 55,000 direct jobs and over 600,000 indirect and induced jobs in the country. If you want to celebrate this beer day in style, we invite you to enjoy some of the most popular styles of this drink with typical dishes from Mexican cuisine; they are the perfect pairing!Do you want to learn how to taste beer and know more about the different styles that this drink offers?
