Lula Martín del Campo has a long and successful culinary career. She started her journey in the world of cooking in 1995 and has since become a reference in the cuisine of our country. She was in charge of food and beverage services at hotels such as Habita in Polanco, Deseo, and Básico in Playa del Carmen. For five years, she co-directed Nico and Lula Catering with her brother, and was the executive chef of the directors' and clients' dining room at HSBC for over eleven years.She has provided consulting to various restaurants in menu creation, staff training, and openings, and has been invited to several culinary festivals and congresses worldwide in countries such as India, the United States, Spain, and of course, in various states of Mexico. Among other activities, she has organized events for various foundations and actively supports associations that help children in street situations. Additionally, she created a line of chef jackets that feature embroidered strips made by women embroiderers from the Tlatzumaque Sohuame Atla group (a project that includes about 23 Nahua women who are textile artisans).In 2011, she published her book Lulachef México Contempo, inspired by Mexican recipes that have been present throughout her career, which in 2012 was awarded as: “The Best Woman Chef Cookbook in Mexico 2011” by the Gourmand Awards. She is also the author of the “Cocina Esencial” book collection with 11 published titles and a spokesperson for various brands. She has participated in different cooking programs on television, such as “Tu Cocina” on Canal Once, where she shared her anecdotes as a chef in the markets of Mexico. Currently, Chef Lula owns the restaurants Cascabel and Marea Restaurante de Mar, both located in Mexico City, where the chef reflects the philosophy that has characterized her: Less is More, with culinary proposals that exalt Mexican flavors through unique experiences.
