Tacos Los Alexis, the KiwiFav of the week

Tacos Los Alexis is a project born during the pandemic, created by chef Alexis Ayala, a chef with experience in international fine dining restaurants, under the right idea that represents the taco: a democratic meal, as accessible prices and a casual atmosphere create the perfect mix for its choice, even within the Roma neighborhood. The tacos remind one of taurinos, the tacos located outside the Plaza de Toros in CDMX, as well as the tacos prepared in Nuevo León and Sonora, which were the inspiration to create this taquería, which curiously bears not only the chef's name but also that of his fiancée. Although the chef is originally from Mexico City, part of his family comes from the North of the country, which makes the roots of this place owe to childhood and a guilty pleasure, but well grounded. The options on the menu are few, but enough to be worth trying. There are taurinos or asada, either in tortillas or in the form of a costra or volcano. Additionally, their salsas are a gem, and it’s no joke if they tell you: be careful because it’s spicy! Because here they don’t shy away from maintaining the heat in the mixes that accompany a good taco. The most curious thing about the Los Alexis menu is that each week there will be a new special taco, ranging from a dry noodle, a quesabirria or a peanut sauce tongue. Additionally, there will be periodic collaborations and takeovers by already recognized chefs. The drinks are the basic beers and sodas, common in a distinguished taquería, adding a good barley water, an option you shouldn't miss. Moreover, their premises are something that won't go unnoticed, under a contemporary and retro mix that will fascinate you. On Mondays, taking advantage of the fact that most restaurants rest, this taquería offers discounts to the general public in a family-friendly atmosphere. The average check is $130 pesos including the drink, are you tempted to check it out?Location: Chiapas 46, Roma Norte, CDMX.
