In 1990, Ana del Jesús Valencia Izquierdo, a Colombian cook living in Mexico, decided to combine the flavors of her country with Mexican ingredients and techniques. Thus, she created Tamaldiani, a tamale establishment with home delivery that integrates the flavors of Mexican and Colombian cuisine into unique, original, and delicious tamales. Its menu represents the fusion of flavors from two cultures. Among the flagship tamales that have conquered palates across all latitudes are the classic green tamale, the cochinita pibil tamale, the shrimp with vegetables tamale, and the rajas with cheese, cream, and corn tamale. Similarly, Ana prepares tamales that stand out for their innovation, such as the esquites tamale, which you can order in green or red, the blackberry with cheese tamale, the mango with rompope tamale, the pear with almond tamale, the chocolate with Nutella and fresh strawberry tamale, and, in season, a delicious walnut with nogada and pink pine nut tamale that you can't miss. They are memorable! Tamaldiani enjoys great acceptance and prestige in Mexico City. Additionally, in three editions, it has won top places at the Feria de la Identidad for preparing the best tamales. Undoubtedly, it is a project worked on with much love for Colombia and Mexico, highlighting the best of both cultures. Remember to place your order three days in advance so that your delicious Mexican tamales with a Colombian touch arrive at your home warm. You'll want to order them every weekend!
