This is the Taste of Sinaloa will take place on October 26, 27, and 28 of this year, marking the first edition of the International Gastronomic Forum in the State of Sinaloa. One of the main objectives of this initiative is to serve as a business-generating platform that involves all productive sectors of the State of Sinaloa as participating companies. Its mission is to promote economic activity in the tourism, agricultural, fishing, gastronomic, and cultural sectors. It will be a training and incentive engine to project the values that represent our gastronomic and productive culture. This is the Taste of Sinaloa will take place at the Mazatlán International Center, where we will find various activities such as:   Gastronomic Congress More than twelve keynote lectures will be held, delivered by internationally and nationally renowned chefs, aimed at students, chefs, and entrepreneurs in the restaurant and hotel industries. Some of the Mexican chefs who will be present include: José Ramón Castillo, Ricardo Muñoz Zurita, Dante Ferrero, Alfredo Villanueva, Gerardo Vázquez Lugo, Adrián Herrera, Federico López, Elena Reygadas, and from Spain, chefs Rodrigo de la Calle, Miguel Sierra, and Tony Botella will visit.   Tasting and Pairing Zone The National Association of Winegrowers of Mexico will conduct a course totaling 12 hours with two different focuses. The first is aimed at students from culinary schools, and the second is for entrepreneurs and food lovers who represent an important profile for promoting tourism and consumption centers.   Vacuum Cooking Course Currently, Vacuum Cooking is one of the major tools being used in kitchens worldwide, allowing significant advancements for the restaurant and hotel industry, as well as for event organizing companies. It will be taught by Tony Botella, one of the leading experts globally, who has his specialized Vacuum Cooking workshop in Barcelona, Spain.   Delivery of the Sinaloa Gastronomy Award This award will be presented during a Gala Dinner to recognize one of the icons of global gastronomy with the participation of the authorities from the State of Sinaloa. In this edition, the award has been decided to be given to the renowned anthropologist and Mexican chef Ricardo Muñoz Zurita.   Culinary Tastings from Sinaloan Municipalities There will be tastings from municipalities with dishes that have recently been recognized as UNESCO heritage.
