New flavors, new salads

We all know the classic recipes, and every now and then, it's good to innovate to create new flavors and keep our palate entertained. César, green, citrus, and caprese: salads we all know, prepare, and love. These preparations have always been there and always will be, so there's no harm in trying new things. Many times we limit ourselves by only thinking of the basic ingredients that go into a salad, but the truth is that the possibilities are endless. There are flavors that work perfectly within these vegetable recipes that we have never given a chance, so if you want to try something new and surprise your diners, here are some ideas for original salads. The first combination we recommend is asparagus, salmon, and egg. If you know how to poach an egg, that's perfect as it adds that silky texture; if not, no problem, hard-boiled egg works too. Blanched asparagus adds that earthy and slightly bitter flavor that connects perfectly with the sweetness of the salmon slices. Besides these three ingredients, they are all healthy and none contain polyunsaturated fats; in fact, you'll get Omega 3, iron, and protein. Another delicious alternative for those who enjoy sweet and sour flavors is the mix of peach with Parma or Serrano ham and Cotija cheese. This is a hit; all you have to do is grill the peach slices with a little olive oil or sugar to caramelize them and then mix them with strips of your choice of ham and sprinkle everything with crumbled cheese. It’s a flavor-packed option that changes within the palate and looks like a fine dining recipe. During these times when pomegranate is so popular due to chiles en nogada, you can use that explosive and sweet ingredient to mix it with roasted eggplant and add some arugula leaves to achieve a deep, earthy, and filling flavor that seems like a main dish. If you want to add a bit of fresh or Oaxaca cheese, that's also allowed. Now, if you're looking for something a bit more filling, you can make a mix of tomatoes (preferably small), along with red onion, and small croutons that you can buy or make at home by breaking a baguette into pieces and frying them with garlic and a little olive oil. You can add a bit of fresh parsley to the final result to elevate the vegetable flavor and have a slightly heartier salad packed with flavor.   Recipe for Grilled Spinach and Salmon Salad Ingredients: - 2 tablespoons of orange juice - 1 tablespoon of lemon juice - 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard - orange zest - olive oil - 3 tablespoons of green onion - pepper to taste - 1 kilo of salmon fillet cut into 8 slices, each 2 cm thick - 6 cups of spinach - 4 tablespoons of pine nuts Find the steps to prepare this salad by clicking here.   Click here to see the salad section of Kiwilimon.   What do you think of these new salad proposals?
