The time for rompope and cookies, leftovers, romeritos, stuffing, and all those delicious things we love to eat during Christmas. If you crave to eat a bit of all this but don't want to feel guilty, then there's no problem, just follow these tips. The first thing you can do, something that Beyonce herself does, is to have a pre-Christmas cleanse. This does not mean going to any doctor or taking some medicine. It has been proven that following a vegan diet for at least a week can result in a significant decrease in fat and sugar in the body. So, if you want to dine peacefully on Christmas, then try to follow a diet that does not include any animal products, this includes both milk and cheese and yogurt. The point is to feed on vegetables, greens, and legumes this coming week, in this way your metabolism will reduce its fat content and therefore you won't have to worry so much about the calories that are coming. Another idea is to increase your liquid intake during the week leading up to Christmas and New Year. If instead of sodas, juices, or flavored waters that contain fructose, either synthetic or natural, you drink more plain water or tea, then you will hydrate perfectly without gaining a single gram. Of course, it is advisable to accompany this increase in water and tea with a balanced diet for optimal results. Now, remember that one of the techniques to counteract the year-end feasts is not to be carried away by cravings throughout the season. On the contrary, on the day you have a dinner, enjoy it to the fullest but have breakfast and lunch according to what will be served at that dinner. If you will be having carbohydrates and proteins, then try to consume vegetables during the day. If you have a heavy meal at work or with friends, then have a light breakfast and fruit for dinner along with tea so that your calorie intake doesn't spike too much. If you are still deciding on the dishes you want to cook during these festive days, we recommend two delicious desserts that not only look tempting but are also vegan, so their calorie count is reduced, but never the flavor.  Find delicious vegan recipes at kiwilimón.
