It is important to highlight a false myth about the high caloric content of such a healthy snack as table olives, according to what they possess.
In fact, it has been proven that they have fewer calories than most snacks. For example, compared to the approximately 500 kilocalories found in 100 grams of potato chips, the same amount of olives does not exceed 160 Kcal (almost 70% less). This makes them the perfect snack for taking care of our bodies both inside and out.
Furthermore, the practice of exercise and the warm weather of these dates increase the need for hydration. After a morning in the sun, by the pool, or at the beach, our body needs to absorb fluids. If we accompany the drink with some olives, we are adding all the goodness of the Mediterranean diet to our snack: oleic acid, vitamins, and fiber. Additionally, being rich in minerals (calcium, iron, and magnesium) and having approximately 50% water, they help restore the body's water balance.
Many experts recommend consuming seven olives a day, as all the previously detailed properties are added to the low caloric content, only 37 kcal.
