It's never too late to start taking better care of ourselves. If you don't want to make drastic changes to your diet but are concerned about maintaining or improving your figure, there are some ways to achieve this healthily.
Especially now in spring, as we may still be carrying one or two extra kilos gained during winter. We invite you to discover some very simple tips for achieving a flat belly; they are easy to follow and best of all, they are not restrictive.
Raise the Temperature
The better your metabolism, the faster you will burn calories. One of the quickest ways to speed it up is by increasing your intake of capsaicin, a compound found in chilies. So ladies, spice up your food with fresh chilies and peppers. But don’t overdo it, or you might end up with gastritis.
Water
Get a reusable bottle to carry natural water everywhere. When you don’t drink enough water, your belly gets bloated, so make sure to drink your mandatory two liters a day, EVERY day. Also, look for snacks that are high in water content, especially fruits, and be mindful of your sodium intake.
Fiber
Fiber is your friend, don’t forget it. Studies have found that foods high in fiber, such as grains, fruits, and vegetables, help burn belly fat. The goal is to consume 25 grams of fiber daily. If you’re not doing it, gradually increase your intake; don’t do it suddenly, to allow your body to adjust.
Protein
Watching calorie intake is not enough. You need to ensure that the foods you eat are also the healthiest. Compared to carbohydrates and fats, your body uses more energy to eliminate the same number of calories from proteins. In other words, you will burn more energy (burn, eliminate) by eating a chicken breast instead of pasta, even if they have the same number of calories.
Green, Green
It’s time to stock up on green tea. This amazing product contains EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), a powerful antioxidant that helps accelerate metabolism by 4-10% by consuming 2-4 cups a day. You can start with one cup in the morning with breakfast and one in the afternoon, when you return from work or school.
Extra Tip
Say goodbye to trans fats. It’s one of the worst things for your body, especially for your midsection. Not only does it promote fat accumulation in the belly, but it also causes fat from other parts of the body to migrate to that area. The most evil fat in the world!
If any food contains partially hydrogenated oil, forget it; it does your body no good.
