Tips and meals to change your work routine

If the cafés or restaurants around your workplace do not offer healthy options, meet your nutritional needs by bringing your own food.
It’s not as laborious as it seems: just prepare tomorrow's meal the night before. An alternative is to prepare an extra portion while making dinner and save it for the next day.
Now, if you don’t want to eat the same thing two days in a row, do something different with the main ingredient from dinner. For example, slice some of the roasted chicken you prepared and put it in pita bread with a bit of onion and apple slices, or mix it with whole grain pasta and broccoli.
Carry your food in a thermal bag. If there’s no refrigerator at work, it doesn’t mean you can’t bring perishable food. In a thermal bag, pack refrigerated food and snacks, and heat them up when it’s lunchtime. Look for these types of bags in kitchen stores.
Another tip is to organize a soup club with your coworkers. Most people enjoy soup and have their favorite recipe. Once a week, ask everyone who signs up for the club to bring enough soup for the other members. Just make sure to establish these rules: no cream, coconut milk, or too much salt. The cook should also bring enough copies of the recipe to distribute.
Rotate the meal preparation. Gather three coworkers who are health-conscious and are tired of bringing food every day; assign a day of the week to each of them. On their assigned days, club members should prepare a healthy meal for four people. Everyone will cook less, and it will be a fun opportunity to socialize and try new dishes that you might want to include in your home menu later.
