Eating habits are changing. They adapt to new lifestyles and consumer needs. Therefore, after brunch, which combines breakfast and lunch, comes Slunch, the perfect combination between snack and dinner.
The word slunch arises from the fusion of the English words “supper” and “lunch”, which would mean extending the meal into the afternoon or bringing dinner forward to mid-afternoon.
The concept may seem original, but we have all done it when we gather on weekends. Now it is gaining so much traction that even some restaurants have joined the slunch trend, offering snacks to a large number of consumers.
What is the right time?
Only you can choose the time that works best for you, but typically it is a meal that takes place around 5 PM onwards. Ideally, it should be done on weekends because we have more time, especially on Sunday afternoons, those days that tend to be quite boring.
In this way, you add a splash of color to finish the weekend and return with energy to work the next day. To do it, we shouldn’t complicate ourselves too much; we are not talking about a party or a full meal; it’s about offering various appetizers in the simplest way.
Below is a list of recipes that will work perfectly for this new slunch trend. Take note.
