This could occur as a result of various factors, such as: Lack of infrastructure, such as cold chain plants. Decrease in trade flow between Mexico and the U.S. Security issues on highways.  On the other hand, Alonso Fernández Flores, president of ANETIF, explained that when the export of fruits and vegetables decreases, transporters cannot return to Mexico with meat.
