In May, the kiwilimón team visited the best restaurants, cafés, and eateries in CDMX. So if you need ideas for your next date, don’t miss these 5 recommendations. It’s guaranteed to impress! 1. sesenroom - The Collagen MuseumIf you are someone who loves to take care of every aspect of what you eat, you have to visit sesenroom. This café, besides being super aesthetic and a perfect spot for taking photos, offers a menu designed to care for your health with every food item, as its menu is supplemented with collagen and other vitamins like zinc and magnesium.  The experience consists of not just a place where you can consume your coffee and smoothies with your daily dose of supplements, but it is designed and prepared to nourish the senses and the soul. With each smoothie, you can choose four natural supplement pills.Cost: $120 on average per drink + free supplements Where? Av. Homero 1433, Polanco, Polanco II Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, 11550. Mexico City, CDMX.Recommended by Daniela Bosch, Editorial & Marketing Manager. 2. 1990 | Casa de café If you want a breakfast with the three B’s, you have to go to 1990 Casa de Café, located in Colonia Álamos. Besides enjoying very delicious food, you can have a lot of fun with board games like dominoes and cards.   The best items on their menu are the grilled cheese and the enfrijoladas, which come with a delicious filling.Cost: Between $100 and $200 pesos.  Where? Av. Fernando 49, Álamos, Benito Juárez, 03400. Mexico City, CDMX. Recommended by Nadia Brito, Digital Planner & Trafficker.3. NicosI had been wanting to go to Nicos, a true institution of Mexican cuisine in Azcapotzalco, for a long time. For decades, chefs María Elena Lugo and Gerardo Vázquez Lugo have dedicated themselves to preserving, innovating, and sharing the best of traditional Mexican cuisine. After trying their dishes, it's no surprise that they received a recommendation from the Michelin Guide. To start, you must not miss the cream soup: a tower of creamy layers filled with flavor in every bite. If you prefer something more traditional, order the tortilla soup with its characteristic smoky flavor. For me, the undisputed king of the menu is the almond mole: the chicken is juicy, the mole has the perfect notes, and you can feel the symphony of flavors. To accompany your dishes, order the house lemonade, which includes berries, or a hibiscus spritz. Dessert time was the hardest because they have so many options; however, the rice pudding stole the show. If you want to try the most authentic Mexican cuisine without the fanfare of Roma and Condesa, you have to visit Nicos, a place that has left its mark with its flavors.Cost: $500 - $1000 per person.  Where? Av. Cuitláhuac, 3102, Clavería, Azcapotzalco, 02080. Mexico City, CDMX.Recommended by Gretel Morales, Editorial Coordinator.4. Bodega Miguel Domecq In a country where wine is increasingly taking center stage, Bodegas Domecq continues to reaffirm its place as an icon of Mexican wine. It renewed its image to honor its legacy and project its contemporary vision: diverse, close, and conscious. I had the opportunity to experience this new stage in an event that was, in itself, a tribute to the perfect pairing between tradition and avant-garde. The tasting was led by the talented chef Pepe Salinas, from the acclaimed restaurant Balcón del Zócalo, a space where Mexican cuisine is reinterpreted with sensitivity and respect. During four courses, carefully designed to highlight the qualities of each label, Bodegas Domecq showed us that its renewal goes beyond design: it is a reflection of its commitment to quality, sustainability, and, above all, to the new generations of wine lovers. Although each dish had its moment to shine, I confess that the pairing that stayed with me was the dessert: a semi-bitter chocolate mousse accompanied by strawberries and crunchy grapes. The velvety texture and the balance between sweetness and acidity merged with the red wine, a selected harvest in a nearly magical way. A perfect ending to an evening that was, in every sense, a celebration of what Domecq represents today: a brand with history, yes, but also with a future. Bodegas Domecq not only changes its image: it reaffirms its voice. And it does so with flavor, elegance, and authenticity. Recommended by David Uribe, Marketing Coordinator.  5. Los Tacos Michigan If you are a fan of carnitas tacos, you have to try the tacos from “Los Tacos Michigan,” a little spot located in Cuauhtémoc. I recommend ordering the Arabic taco and pairing it with jocoque sauce. The combination of flavors is unmatched!  Cost: Between $100 and $200 pesos.  Where? C. Río Lerma 179, Cuauhtémoc, 06500. Mexico City, CDMX. Recommended by Yamilette González, Chef.
