February gives us an infinite number of possibilities; being the second month, it still allows us to visit many new restaurants and cafés, as well as try novel products of all kinds. This time, the team at kiwilimón recommends the best flautas in CDMX, Italian food in the Clavería neighborhood, a bookstore and café in Del Valle, the blender of the moment, and much more. Let us know what you think of our February favorites! You can also read: Trying, trying: our favorites from January1. Flautas MagosIf you enjoy a good garnacha, then your next stop has to be Flautas Magos, a true institution of flavor in CDMX!This place has been selling flautas for over 60 years, and time has made them experts in flavor. It’s worth mentioning that the salsas they offer are unique, as they have the perfect combination of spicy and sour. You have to try them!Recommended by Lourdes Serrano, Community Manager & Content Creator.2. Librería El DesastreEl Desastre, a space located in the heart of Del Valle, has the best combination of coffee and books. This café and bookstore is a must for bibliophiles, offering a wide variety of works from universal literature, as well as other activities centered around reading. I recommend visiting El Desastre to enjoy a good book in a peaceful space while sipping coffee and having a dessert. They also have a branch in Tlalpan. Recommended by Mara Alpízar, Chef.3. Restaurante Marco PoloCraving Italian food? Find the best pasta in this little spot called Marco Polo, located in the Clavería neighborhood. My favorites are the fettuccine al pesto or al pomodoro. If you prefer pizza, you can also enjoy a classic margherita here, with an exquisite tomato sauce that will transport you straight to Italy. It’s the perfect place for a romantic date with your partner or even to go with the whole family.Recommended by Karen García, Community Manager & Editorial Assistant. 4. Beast, deluxe blenderIn my experience, this is the most powerful blender you can find on the market. However, it goes much further, as it is also the most aesthetic, so it will look great in your kitchen. To top it off, this small but powerful blender features cutting-edge technology, top-quality materials, and your smoothie or shake will be ready in just one minute. If you're interested in this blender, I recommend getting the deluxe package available at Costco, as it is the most complete, including 3 blending cups and 7 different lids. Click here to buy.Recommended by Gretel Chávez, Editorial Coordinator.5. Restaurante Caballo BayoIf you are looking for authentic Mexican food and homemade flavor, don’t hesitate to visit Caballo Bayo! This restaurant located in Plaza Carso offers a varied menu of stews, snacks, tacos, grills, and signature dishes. Another must-try is the flan; it will enchant your palate! On the other hand, the restaurant has a terrace, and the atmosphere is family-friendly, making it perfect for a celebration with your loved ones.Recommended by Alexandra Romero, Chef.At kiwilimón, we hope these recommendations help you plan your next family meal, romantic dinner, or even your next appliance purchase.
