For a long time, the world of wines has been considered something distant and inaccessible; however, nowadays, wines of incredible quality are available in all kinds of stores and at low prices, so there is no excuse to delve into the world of wine.  One of the brands that has come to win the hearts of the Mexican public is Bodegas LAUS, as it offers fresh and delicious wines at low prices, without compromising on quality, proving that the world of wines doesn’t have to be pretentious.  To understand the importance of Bodegas LAUS, it is essential to recognize that this brand is synonymous with excellence. Founded in 2002, LAUS offers us five wonderful options for any occasion: white, rosé, young red, barrel-aged red and crianza.  The white wine that LAUS offers is made from chardonnay grapes with refreshing fruity aromas and a subtle, fresh flavor. In the case of the rosé wine, it is made from syrah and garnacha tinta, which also has notes of red fruits and violets. On the other hand, the three wines from LAUS are also unmissable. The young red has a smooth and delicate taste, making it a great option to accompany meat cuts, cheeses, and stews. Once you delve further into the world of wines, you cannot miss the barrel-aged red, as its subtlety and fruity touch will captivate you. You also cannot miss trying the LAUS Crianza, a more robust wine with smoky yet sweet tones.  To top it off, all of their wines have denomination of origin and are produced in the Somontano, a place surrounded by sun, air, and flowers. Best of all, prices range from $179 to $399, making them a fantastic option to start your journey into the world of wine.  Flower Workshop with Bodegas LAUS Bodegas LAUS presented its wines alongside Lienzo, an incredible team that offers gastronomic experiences, and Alinka García, the mastermind behind Arroz con Leche.  During this event, the beautiful flower bouquets evoked the beauties we can find in Somontano, which we can also see on the labels of LAUS wines.  After the flower workshop, Chef Sebastián, who leads Lienzo, delighted us with a pairing of 6 courses, inspired by classic Mexican dishes such as tacos, tostadas, mole, edible flowers, and one of the most emblematic desserts of Mexican cuisine: strawberries with cream.  To start the pairing, we complemented a bouquet of edible flowers and a tuna tostada with macha sauce with a refreshing chardonnay, then moved on to fish tacos and the molote with the delicious rosé wine, and finally, we closed with ribeye tacos with chicatanas and strawberries with cream.  Through this gastronomic experience, Bodegas LAUS demonstrates to us that Spanish wines from Somontano are ideal for pairing with jewels of Mexican gastronomy, such as tacos and mole. At Kiwilimon, we encourage you to lose your fear of wines with refreshing and accessible options.
