Morelia en Boca (MEB) has been celebrated for 11 years and is much more than a festival of gastronomy and wine. In 2021, it focuses on sustainable gastronomy projects that not only have an environmental responsibility but also care for the origin of their ingredients, preserve cultural processes, and boost the local economy.Divided into two stages, “MEB across Mexico” (August 23 to September 26) and “All Mexico in Michoacán” (November 5, 6, and 7), the first stage was aimed at promoting the gastronomic tourism of various invited destinations, while the second features a cultural program open to the public, in addition to limited-capacity events that will be held outdoors, in the gardens of the new Convention and Exhibition Center of Michoacán and Exclusive Experiences. To enjoy round tables, cooking classes, and unique presentations, you just need to register for the streamings on the festival's web platform, and if you wish to attend tastings, wine tastings, and workshops, you can purchase tickets on their official page.Michoacán Vanguard, Michoacán Barbecue, and Michoacán Tradition are the three events you can attend, and some of the chefs participating this year are Enrique Farjeat, Sergio Camacho, Mariana Valencia, and Rubí Silva. Finally, the main invited destination for MEB 2022 will also be announced: Yucatán, as it fits within the framework of the Year of Yucatecan Gastronomy, and it will take place in both Michoacán and Yucatán, so there is much to look forward to both this year and the next.
