Nowadays, with exercise being so trendy, you can use your creativity to create your own routine.
You can join an existing class or program, but you can also customize your practice to achieve individual goals and have fun in the process. That’s why we’ve put together some tips so you know how you can create an exercise routine.
Stretching
This part is often overlooked by many, but it is one of the most important. Muscle strength depends not only on how much weight you can lift or push but also on how flexible your muscles are and how much endurance they have.
Stretching exercises are done over a joint, although some stretches involve more than one. The most common approach is to focus on a single joint and within that, cover an entire group of muscles.
To practice stretching, try to stretch your legs, arms, back, and neck before doing any exercise; this will help you avoid injuries.
Cardio
Doing cardiovascular exercise is very important. Whether it’s cycling, running, swimming, walking, or any other activity that makes you sweat and breathe heavily, it will help you stay fit.
Benefits of cardiovascular exercise:
Calories are burned, leading to weight loss
The heart is strengthened
Lung capacity is increased
The risk of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attacks, and high cholesterol is reduced
Stress is reduced
If you want to practice cardiovascular exercises without needing to go to a gym, you can: walk, jump rope, dance, climb stairs, or run in a park.
Try to dedicate at least 30 minutes to each cardio session.
Strength
Whenever you do strength training, remember to work all parts of the body:
Legs and glutes (squats),
Back, chest, and arms (push-ups, bar work)
Abdomen (crunches).
Variety
If you stick to the same routine for more than two months, your muscles may get used to it, get bored, and stop yielding results. Therefore, always try to vary your routine to keep it interesting and productive.
And don't forget:
Nutrition
If you want to see more noticeable results, exercise must be accompanied by a balanced diet.
Try to increase your protein intake, lower carbohydrate consumption, and boost your energy from healthy fats, such as those found in salmon, nuts, and avocados.
