When I started going to the gym, I used a waist trainer that made me sweat a lot. I thought it was helping me reduce my waist because I would measure myself afterward and find a couple of centimeters less, but then, like magic, they would come back.
I didn't understand what was happening until I asked a trainer at the gym, and he told me that those lost centimeters are the result of water loss, and as soon as those fluids are replenished, the measurements return. How horrifying! I was never going to achieve a small waist this way.
After that, I never used a waist trainer again. But I thought it was a good idea to share this with you because, as you know, I am back to my workout routine, and at the gym, I see many people using them, and I feel like telling them that they are really not going to lose those extra centimeters.
Not only that, but I remember my trainer telling me that it limits the effectiveness of exercises because it reduces your energy and the intensity of your training. So now you know, the next time you go to the gym, leave your waist trainer at home and focus on doing your workout routine correctly.
