Egg, toasted bread, hot cakes, waffles, orange juice, coffee, fruit with yogurt, and more. These are some of the most common dishes and drinks for breakfast in many places. However, there are many other breakfasts around the world, and here we tell you what people have for breakfast in other countries!You can also read: Is breakfast the most important meal of the day?What do other countries have for breakfast? You have probably seen movies or TV shows where breakfast always includes bacon, eggs, toasted bread, bagels, and things like that, but what else is out there? At kiwilimón, we did some research and tell you what people have for breakfast in places like England, Japan, and India, and how they differ from the Mexican breakfast. 1. Mexican breakfastIn Mexico, we cannot talk about a standard breakfast, as each region has its own dishes; however, there are many options that are a must in most homes, restaurants, small eateries, or street stalls.  For example, eggs are one of the proteins that cannot be missing, as well as beans. Tortillas, green or red sauce, or corn dough are also essential. And what about bread with coffee, atole, or champurrado! On one hand, there are regions where chilaquiles must be present, whether green or red, with chicken or egg. We can also enjoy sweet, savory tamales, or tortas. Enchiladas, sopes, tlacoyos, barbacoa tacos, huevos motuleños, pellizcadas, memelas, and many other delicacies are a daily blessing.  When it comes to sweet options, Mexicans are not far behind, as the famous biónico, a fruit cocktail with granola, honey, and even a touch of whipped cream or Chantilly, is a must. We also cannot omit the wide variety of sweet bread, as it is the perfect complement to any breakfast.  What do you like to have for breakfast? 2. English breakfast From Mexico, we travel to England! This European country is a reference when we talk about breakfast, as theirs is quite hearty.  The famous English breakfast consists of key elements that have given it worldwide fame: Eggs Sausage Bacon Beans Toasted Bread Tomato Mushrooms It is also very common for an English breakfast to be accompanied by a good cup of tea with a touch of milk.Would you dare to try this breakfast? Japanese breakfast Japan is a country with a rich culinary tradition, which has given us iconic dishes like sushi, ramen, and tempura, among many other fantastic options.  According to various sources, Japanese breakfast typically includes:Boiled rice Miso soup An omelette called tamagoyaki Nori seaweed Grilled fish Natto, a dish made from fermented soybeans Noodles Pickled vegetables, known as tsukemono We know that this type of breakfast is very different from huevos a la mexicana or chilaquiles, but it’s also important to try new things and understand other cultures through their cuisine.  4. Indian breakfast This Asian country is known for being a paradise for lovers of spices and complex flavors, as who wouldn’t fall at the feet of the Indian cuisine after trying a curry or a mango lassi.  According to other sources, at breakfast time, India offers amazing options: Aloo paratha: this type of bread is very thin and has a touch of ghee.  Idli and sambar: rice dumplings with a spicy lentil stew. Chai tea: this spiced drink is essential for breakfast. Dosa: this type of crepe is made with a batter of rice and lentils and is filled with a mixture of potato, curry, and spices.  What do you think?
