Christmas is here, and we know that cooking turkey for Christmas can be very intimidating. Don't worry, follow these tips and cook a delicious turkey! 1. How many guests are you going to have at your Christmas dinner? Calculate 1/2 kilo of turkey per person. If you are going to have 20 guests, buy a 10-kilo turkey. 2. You should defrost your turkey in the refrigerator to keep it juicier. Calculate 24 hours for every 2.5 kg. If your turkey is 10 kg, you should defrost it 4-5 days in advance. 3. When injecting the turkey, it's important to make as few holes as possible so that the juices don't escape. Use the same hole to insert the syringe in other areas of the turkey. 4. How do you know when the turkey is cooked? The internal temperature of the turkey should read 75 degrees (165F) on a thermometer. The juices should run clear. If you don't have a thermometer, we recommend checking how many hours they suggest cooking your turkey, as every turkey is different. 5. Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before slicing to avoid losing all the juices. 6. Watch the video while cooking your turkey to feel more at ease, click here. 7. If you like turkey stuffing, we recommend cooking it separately for hygiene reasons. You can add some turkey broth to give it flavor. Use this Apple Turkey Stuffing recipe.
