According to media reports, this measure came into effect in July 2013, as that year, the Official Journal of the Federation announced that this type of benefit aims to allow workers to purchase items that improve their quality of life. So besides being unable to purchase alcohol and tobacco with vouchers, remember that you also cannot exchange them for cash.
