September is just around the corner, and with it come the
National Holidays, where we celebrate our
Independence and the pride of being Mexican. So there’s no better excuse to celebrate and organize your own
Mexican party. But, how do you organize the party?! Don’t worry, here are some tips to make you the envy of everyone and have a super fun night.
First of all, the invitations. You can make them at home with patriotic themes, using paper in the colors of the flag.
The decoration of your house is also important; you can get tricolor paper for decorations, flags, sombreros, maracas, confetti eggs, streamers, whistles, and green, white, and red balloons.
As for the music, it should, of course, be representative of Mexico, such as mariachi or banda music, although you can also include a variety according to your guests' tastes; remember that the goal is for everyone to have a pleasant evening.
You can get very traditional Mexican board games like La Lotería, Snakes and Ladders, tops, and yo-yos; you can also have games like Roulette, darts, and many more that will make the night more fun.
And of course, the most important thing is the food!
In Mexico, we have an immense variety of typical dishes that are very representative:
tostadas,
pozole,
chiles en nogada, and
tacos. Desserts like
buñuelos,
churros, and typical sweets. For drinks, fresh waters like
jamaica,
lime with chia,
horchata, and for adults,
tequila or
mezcal.
The occasion is perfect to celebrate with your friends and family, and of course,
celebrate the pride of being Mexican.
