Does your makeup make you look older?

I don't know exactly when it happens, but one day you look in the mirror and, after a long time believing you will never age, you finally feel like you look older. It could be that your makeup is contributing to this, and five small changes can take years off your appearance. Our friends at ActitudFem tell you if any of these mistakes apply to you, and if so, make a change! It’s never too late for a “makeover”.
Powder Makeup
Loose powder accumulates in fine lines and can make them appear more prominent. Swap your powder makeup for a liquid foundation, preferably something light if you're not used to this type of makeup. If you can't avoid powder, use only a very light layer to set the liquid foundation.
Always Using the Same Products
How many years have you been using the same lipstick shades and the same foundation? Give yourself the chance to change to look fresher. Go to a department store and try out all the makeup you want until you find something that suits you.
Use Fewer Colors
Sometimes looking more natural makes your face look fresher and younger. Give it a try, swap very dark or colorful eyeshadows for neutral tones in brown and nude. Try using only eyeliner and mascara one day; you might feel less dressed up than usual, but you’ll probably receive very nice comments.
Bronzer, Highlighter, and Blush
Don't be afraid of contouring. Department stores can teach you how to highlight some features of your face using bronzer and blush. The highlighter, if you've never used it, is very useful for faking that healthy skin glow.
Never Forget Mascara
But don’t use an old one. If it leaves clumps, it’s time to buy a new mascara, but never leave the house without it, as it’s the easiest way to open up your eyes.
