Who wouldn't want contest-worthy eyelashes? I, for one, spend hundreds of pesos on products to lengthen, curl, volumize, and in general, to make them look like the eyelashes of Adele or Kim Kardashian.
This is when I'm not investing in false eyelashes, which are the perfect solution when I want to give more intensity to my look.
But like everything, our grandmothers have the best recipes for homemade remedies to spend less money and use the most natural products to avoid harming our bodies.
Our friends from Me lo dijo Lola share with us 4 recipes to pamper your eyelashes and achieve the most stunning length:
1. Castor Oil
In a small jar, mix equal parts castor oil, almond oil, avocado or mamey oil, and olive oil.
Remove your makeup with this mixture, soaking a cotton ball in the oils. Once you've taken off all your makeup, apply a drop along your lash line and go to sleep like that. In the morning, it will wash off with water.
Another mask with castor oil includes rum. Mix 3 teaspoons of oil with 1 teaspoon of cane rum. Apply it with a cotton swab on your eyelashes, being careful not to get it in your eye, and let it sit overnight.
2. Natural Chamomile
For this remedy to work, you must use natural chamomile tea, not the kind sold in tea bags. Boil the flower and strain the infusion. Soak a cotton ball in the water and pass it over your eyelids every night, emphasizing the eyelashes.
3. Olive Oil
This oil is one of the best natural remedies for taking care of hair in general. Apply it to your eyelashes every night with your fingertips or a cotton swab, always from bottom to top. Leave it on overnight.
Additional Suggestions
Eyelashes are just as important as hair. Just as you brush your hair daily even if you wear it up, you should have a special brush for your eyelashes and use it every day, regardless of whether you apply mascara or not.
Also, make sure your mascara has protection so it doesn't damage them.
