In previous days, a trivia was conducted where we asked our users how they would celebrate this year's October festivities. They were rated on showcasing original ideas to celebrate Día de Muertos or Halloween, and the winners received a Mary Kay kit. Here are their responses hoping to give you some ideas that you can implement in your home with your guests.

Last year we made ghost cookies with soft meringue, meringue bones, and some cupcake spiders. Mixing contrasting flavors like tamarind (in the legs) and chocolate.
They turned out amazing, so we thought of repeating it by adding zombie eyes with cake pops covered in white chocolate, a candy as the iris, and red chocolate for the veins.

My celebration idea is to set up an altar in my home as is tradition in the city of Oaxaca with seasonal fruits: jícama, mandarin, orange, pumpkin in honey, apples, loquats, a arch made with cane, where some fruits or sugar skulls are hung.
On the altar, peanuts and nuts are also placed, along with a cup of chocolate, a cup of water, beer, mole, mezcal, and yolk bread. It is decorated with the seasonal flower which is cempasúchil, a candle, and an image of any deceased person that is available; all of that is just part of the home decoration. To celebrate, I would ask all my guests to create a verse related to death.

The way I suggest to celebrate is to have a costume party where all the costume pieces are buried superficially in the garden or hung on tree branches. They should be distributed randomly throughout the area. Guests will have twenty minutes to dress up as a character. The one who achieves the most complete costume will win a prize consisting of horror movies.
We share some cooking recipes so that all creative ideas flow during these celebrations.
