Did the weekend leave you feeling terrible? I have 5 home remedies to lessen the disaster of its effects and improve your dark circles. Most of the remedies can be found in your home, and they are super easy and quick to use:   1. Black, Green, or Chamomile Tea Chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory that helps relieve red eyes and swelling. Green and black teas contain compounds called tannins, in addition to caffeine. Tannins have an effect that helps reduce tissue inflammation. Place a tea bag on each eye for 15 minutes.   2. Cold Spoons The cold temperature of metal spoons reduces the dilation of blood vessels, which helps decrease redness and swelling in the eye area. Apply the spoons for as long as necessary until you see results.   3. Cold Milk Cold milk constricts blood vessels and reduces inflammation. The fat in whole milk moisturizes dry and irritated skin. Place a cotton ball on each eye for 15 minutes. Recipe for Rice Pudding Ingredients: - 1 cup of rice - 3 cups of water - 1 cinnamon stick - 1 teaspoon of lemon zest (optional) - 1 pinch of salt - 4 cups of milk - 1 1/2 cups of sugar - 1/3 cup of raisins - 1 teaspoon of vanilla - ground cinnamon for decoration Click here to see how to prepare this recipe and make use of the leftover milk.   4. Cucumber Slices A classic remedy for swollen and irritated eyes, as cucumber contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C), which helps reduce swelling. Chill the slices. Once cold, place one on each eye; tilt your head back and relax for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the slices and rinse your face with cold water. Recipe for Cold Cucumber Soup Ingredients: - 2 cucumbers - 1/2 chopped onion - 1 clove of garlic - 1/2 tablespoon of salt - 3 fresh mint leaves finely chopped - 2 cups of unsweetened yogurt - 1 pinch of ground pepper Find the procedure to prepare this soup by clicking here.   5. Egg Whites Egg whites act as astringents, making your skin look firmer and smoother. They are also rich in vitamin B2, which helps improve circulation. Whip two egg whites until stiff peaks form, then, with a brush, apply it to the area under your eyes. Let the mixture dry for about 15 minutes.   Click here to see the recipes that Kiwilimon has for you to make the most of these ingredients.   Article courtesy of
