Did you buy too much? Is your fridge always full?
Read these rules for storing food and avoid spoilage:
The 2-hour rule. Any food that requires refrigeration cannot be left out of the fridge for more than 2 hours (chicken, seafood, ham, leftovers)
Hot leftovers should be stored hot, do not let them cool on the kitchen table (you can place them over a bowl of cold water and ice to cool them faster)
Know when to throw food away. Ham lasts between 3-5 days, fish (cooked or raw) and raw meat should be eaten within 1-2 days of refrigeration.
Do not overcrowd the refrigerator. Air needs to circulate to keep your food fresh. The refrigerator temperature should be 4.4 degrees Celsius (40 F) or lower.
