When we have some fruit that is not yet ripe, we should not refrigerate it, as the cold prevents fruits from ripening properly.
- In the case of fruits that get damaged when we bring them home, it's better to separate them and consume them as soon as possible to avoid spoiling the others.
- What we recommend is to consume seasonal fruits and vegetables, as nature always provides the nutrients our body needs. Additionally, out-of-season products tend to be more expensive.
- Many times we cut some fruit for consumption and store the rest in the refrigerator, but sometimes
it goes bad. What we should do when fruits or vegetables are stored cut inside the refrigerator is to try to wrap them in a plastic bag or place them in a closed container; this not only preserves them better but also prevents contamination from unwanted odors.
- To prevent certain peeled fruits like apples or bananas from oxidizing, it is best to place them in a container with water or to coat them with lemon juice.
