Mexico City is a city that has it all. From museums, parks, galleries, shops, and much more. However, one of its main attractions is the food. At kiwilimón we love everything, but today we focus on the best restaurants to eat pizza. Have you visited any of them? It is worth mentioning that pizza is one of the most famous Italian dishes in Mexico and all over the world, as the combination of flavors is simply unique. It is also important to remember that there are different types of pizza, such as Neapolitan, Chicago-style, cheese-stuffed crust, and many more options. What is your favorite? Then don't miss out on these 6 pizzas, which were chosen by the kiwilimón team. Are you up for trying any of these places?1. Félix Pizza This place, which opened its doors several years ago, has become a cult favorite for pizza lovers. Félix Pizza is located in Colonia Roma Norte and has a cozy atmosphere, ideal for a date or a gathering with friends. I recommend going with a big appetite, as you can't miss their Arancini cacio e Pepe, rice croquettes with plenty of cheese. You also can't leave without trying the burrata with truffle honey and a touch of pistachio. And while the star of the place is the pizza, they offer incredible pastas like the carbonara with an irresistible cheese sauce. As for their delicious pizzas, I recommend starting with the Margherita pizza, a classic that never goes out of style. If you love Italian cheeses, then order the Ricotta Fonduta, which also has a touch of caramelized onions. To finish off, order the Toni Servillo, which is prepared with ricotta, tomato sauce, parmesan, eggplant, and garlic. If you still have room for dessert after all these delights, ask for the dessert menu and choose between their strawberries with cream, Basque cheesecake, roasted banana, or chocolate fondant. Pair your dishes with a spritz! Recommended by Gretel Chávez, Editorial Coordinator. 2. El Horno NegroIf you are a fan of thin and crispy pizza, in true Italian style, the pizza from El Horno Negro is your best option. This restaurant is located in Colonia Álamos, and you can also order their pizzas through Uber Eats. I recommend ordering the one with serrano ham, you won't regret it! Recommended by Nadia Brito, Trafficker and Digital Planner. 3. Contigo Pizza y Gelato This small restaurant is located in Escandon and has amazing, yet cozy decor. Here you will find delicious artisanal ice creams and, in my opinion, even more exquisite pizzas inspired by Neapolitan style, made with hand-crafted vegan dough. If you are a cheese lover, don't miss the Quattro Formaggi pizza, my favorite four-cheese pizza. If you, like me, enjoy pizzas with a sweet touch, try the Dolce Vita, which includes pear, butter, and walnut. Recommended by Inés Miselem, Design Coordinator. You can't leave without trying the Argentinian chorizo pizza and don't forget to pair it with an artisanal cherry, enjoy! Recommended by Yamilette González, Chef Coordinator. 5. San Giorgio Pizzería Are you a fan of Italian food? Then you definitely have to visit San Giorgio Pizzería, a very cozy place, full of character and also flavor. What I love most about these pizzas is that they are made with a very thin crust, the flavor is unmatched, and they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Among my favorites is the tuna pizza. Pair it with a glass of wine or a cocktail! Recommended by Alexandra Romero, Chef. 6. Pixza Can you imagine a pizza made with blue corn and 100% Mexican products? It’s a reality and the restaurant is called Pixza, with two locations: one in the Historic Center of the capital and another in Roma Sur. The best part is that Pixza not only offers a variety of options, flavor, and quality, but it is also a movement that seeks the sustainable inclusion of people with a history of social abandonment. This initiative has been made possible by employing people through a program called Ruta del Cambio. You will find the delicious pixza in two sizes: 20 cm and 38 cm. Additionally, you can choose from toppings like chapulines (grasshoppers), zucchini flowers, Oaxaca cheese, hibiscus flowers, and poblano strips, among many others. I recommend ordering the one with chapulines, hibiscus flowers, and chitomate sauce. Recommended by David Uribe, Marketing Coordinator. Now that you have these 6 amazing options at hand, don't hesitate to give these incredible places a chance and try the best pizzas in the city. Let us know which one you crave the most!
