As every month, the team at kiwilimón shares their favorite restaurants, cafes, utensils, and appliances. This month, we focus on the best places to eat and provide options for every budget. Which one tempts you the most? 1. Los Bernardino’s This place isn't new, but I can't miss the opportunity to recommend them. The first time I went, I wasn't sure if I wanted to try these American-style tacos, as I have a lot of love for authentic Mexican food. Everything changed when I tried these Tex-Mex tacos. They left me speechless with their texture, ingredient combination, and how well-seasoned they are. They are a gem. Give them a chance and try them!Where? Citlaltépetl 68, Colonia Condesa, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, CDMX.Recommended by Karen García, Community Manager & Editorial Assistant. 2. Café TrigaliCafé Trigali is an excellent option if you want to start your day off right. Although they are open all day, what surprised me about this place were their delicious breakfasts. I recommend starting with a cappuccino accompanied by a house bread, and then closing with one of their main dishes. I particularly recommend the Chilaquiles Shilo or the Poblano Omelette; in both dishes, the sauces are not spicy but incredibly delicious.Where? Río Tigris 134, Mexico City.Recommended by Inés Miselem, Design Coordinator.3. Caravanserai If you want to have a relaxed time amidst the chaos of CDMX, I recommend visiting Caravanserai. This tea house located in the Roma neighborhood allows you to have a relaxing moment full of flavor thanks to its menu, which ranges from the subtle flavors of white tea to the intense flavors of green or black tea. You can order your personal teapot and pair it with a dessert while enjoying a good conversation in the comfortable sofas that provide a cozy atmosphere. If you go alone, you can accompany yourself with one of the available books or simply enjoy the dim light and the flavors of their desserts.Where? C. Orizaba 101, Roma Nte., Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, CDMX. Recommended by Nadia Brito, Digital Planner & Trafficker. You can also read: Trying, trying: our favorites from April 4. Burritos Don Quique Want to diversify your late-night dinners? Burritos Don Quique is a late-night spot located in Roma Sur, perfect for a craving or after the party. Don Quique has over 20 years of experience in street food and offers a wide variety of burritos, from the classic steak to stuffed chili. Additionally, there are 5 sizes available, from small to mega; the latter comes with 5 large tortillas. They are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 PM to 4 AM.Where? Medellín 326d, Roma Sur, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, CDMX. Recommended by Iván Morell, Production Coordinator. 5. Gris  In Mexico City, good food is always available, but many of the great restaurants are concentrated in neighborhoods like Roma, Condesa, Juárez, and Polanco. However, there are excellent places to eat in the northern part of the city. Gris is the perfect example. This restaurant is located in Tlatelolco, in one of the buildings we consider architectural feats and an emblem of the capital. From Tuesday to Friday, they offer a four-course daily menu and a refreshing drink for just $120. I was surprised by the quality and freshness of the ingredients, as well as the curation of the menu, which maintains quality dish after dish. The best part is that they now also offer breakfast from Tuesday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, don’t miss the brunch; the fried chicken sandwich and French toast are a must! Take a break from the Roma-Condesa restaurant circuit and visit this gem of local gastronomy in Tlatelolco.Where? Lerdo 304, Edificio Ignacio Zaragoza, local 9, Nonoalco Tlatelolco, CDMX.Recommended by Gretel Chávez, Editorial Coordinator. 6. Merkavá I have always thought that through food, you can take a trip to some part of the world without leaving the city. I recently visited Merkavá, a Jerusalem food restaurant led by chef Daniel Ovadia. Here you can travel to the Middle East with their dishes, but also with the decor, as you feel outside of CDMX. Regarding the food, everything is shared in the center, so go with a big appetite. I recommend ordering the salatim, a selection of 7 or 14 appetizers. You cannot miss the avocado hummus with chicken cracklings, tomato salad, cilantro, and chili. For the main dish, you cannot miss the shank in date sauce, accompanied by Persian rice with almonds, raisins, and apricots. To finish on a high note, the Jerusalem knafeh is a must-try. Give yourself the opportunity to step out of your routine and take this trip to the other side of the world.Where? Ámsterdam 53, Colonia Hipódromo Condesa, CDMX. Recommended by David Uribe, Marketing Coordinator. Continue reading: Trying, trying: our favorites from March
