In October, we visited 5 must-see places in the capital. Which one will you visit first? Uroboros Alquimia con Café Are you tired of the pumpkin spice latte? Don’t like chain cafes? Then I have the perfect recommendation for you: Uroboros Alquimia con Café. This small café is a paradise for specialty coffee lovers, as its menu is carefully curated and offers a wide variety of drinks. All of their drinks will win you over from the first sip, especially their mocha, which has an intense flavor, and their uroboros coffee, which is the perfect blend of espresso, masala chai, and milk. If you prefer drinks without coffee, they also have must-try options, like their thor drink, which is made with masala chai, cinnamon, coriander, fenugreek, cardamom, nutmeg, and black pepper. To accompany, ask what sweet bread they have, but take advantage of this season to order a pan de muerto. Now you know, if you want to enjoy truly magical drinks, you have to visit Uroboros Alquimia con Café, a small café located in Santa María la Ribera, as not only is the service friendly, but the place is totally unpretentious and ideal for a date, reading a book, or chatting with friends. When will you visit them? Recommended by Gretel Morales, Editorial Coordinator.Voraz This is definitely a place that will blow your mind. This gastrocantina combines the best of the cocktail and food world to leave you with a smile from ear to ear. Voraz's kitchen mixes traditional Mexican ingredients and recipes with a contemporary touch; the chamorro and the arrachera mixteca are a hug to the heart. To top it all off, you can't miss the pecan tart with Brie cheese and vanilla ice cream. As for their drink bar, it is simply spectacular. The signature cocktails are unmatched, from a piña colada to a margarita with hoja santa, any of them will make you touch the sky. Personally, my favorite is the Melipon Sour. Don't forget to make a reservation! Recommended by Iván Morel, Content Production Coordinator. Located in the Santa María Ribera neighborhood, this restaurant offers one of the best ramens in the city. They have 3 options: soy, miso, and salt, and all are great choices. The best part? A large ramen costs between $150 and $190. If you prefer something different, then try their fried chicken, which is seasoned to perfection and remains very juicy. Pair it with gyozas, spring rolls, and a yakimeshi. Don’t leave without trying the dessert: a creamy matcha crepe cake.
