Then, we wrap it around the bottle at the height where we want to make the cut and carefully light the alcohol-soaked thread; we wait for it to go out. As soon as it starts to go out, we immerse the bottle in the bucket of water and wait for the sound of the bottle breaking in two. If we see that the glass resists breaking, we can repeat the process as many times as we want, but always placing the thread in the same spot. When we succeed in dividing the bottle in two, all that’s left to do is sand down any imperfections that may have appeared using coarse sandpaper.
