How to remove burnt residue from a comal

The comal is one of the most important utensils in Mexican cuisine, as it is used to cook corn tortillas, roast chiles for mole, prepare all kinds of snacks and garnishes, and even to reheat all types of dishes. You will only need things you already have in your pantry! Ingredients 3 tablespoons of baking soda 3 tablespoons of water One sheet of aluminum foil Instructions Mix the baking soda and water until you form a paste. Spread a layer of the mixture over the burnt comal. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Form a ball with the aluminum foil and use it to scrub the burnt comal. Rinse, add a few drops of soap, and continue scrubbing with the aluminum ball.  This method is an incredible option to remove burnt residue from comals, pans and pots, as it is economical, practical, and infallible, don’t hesitate to give it a try! Now that you know how to clean your comal, don’t be afraid of recipes that require roasted ingredients, as they provide an unmatched smoky flavor.
