We all love coming home to a pleasant smell, but sometimes artificial air fresheners are too strong or simply don’t smell good. To find the perfect aroma for your home, there's nothing better than making your own blend with the essences and fragrances you like the most. Follow these tips to naturally scent your home.Simmering Pot:Put water, lemon slices, and some sprigs of fresh rosemary in a pot. Let the mixture simmer (checking constantly to make sure the water doesn’t evaporate) and let the aroma fill your home. It's that easy.Flavored Wood: Get some wooden cubes and a natural essence that you like. Let the wood soak in the essence (preferably overnight so it absorbs the scent well) and then simply place them on a plate in your kitchen or living room.Don’t know how to prepare natural essences? Here we tell you step by step how to make them.Wax Petals: Combine one cup of paraffin with 10 drops of natural essence. If you like, you can also add a few drops of coloring. Pour the mixture into small molds (they don’t have to be petal-shaped). You can repeat the process with different scents to create perfume blends with different types of petals.Orange Candle: If you prefer citrus scents, you will love this tip. Cut an orange in half and remove all the pulp. Be careful not to remove the white stem in the center (this will be the wick). Fill the orange with oil and let it sit for about an hour. Then light the wick and enjoy the delightful orange scent.Carpet Powder: Often, bad odors linger in carpets and rugs, so it’s necessary to apply a remedy directly to these items. In a jar, mix baking soda with rosemary leaves and a few drops of lavender essence. Sprinkle this on your carpets and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then just vacuum it up.Scented Baking Soda: Mix half a cup of baking soda with about 10 drops of your favorite essence. Place the scented powder in a jar and cover it with a lid that has holes. The aroma will gradually permeate the environment of each room where you place the jar. Do you have any other tips for scenting the spaces in your home? Share your ideas in the comments of this post.
