Read in EnglishKnowing how to remove stubborn grease from the stove is valuable information for any functional adult, as the kitchen is one of the places we spend the most time in, use the most, and therefore get the dirtiest. If our cleaning routine is frequent but not so strict in this area, we could end up with a stove covered in stuck grease that we want to remove at all costs when we finally take the time to do a deeper clean.Although it may seem like an impossible task, removing the grease from the stove can be achieved with a bit of hot water, dish soap, and the perfect ally for homemade cleaning time: baking soda. How to remove grease from the stove with hot water, baking soda, and vinegarCleaning the stove thoroughly is not as difficult as it sounds, but it will likely take time, as it involves soaking, scrubbing, and having a lot of patience to remove that stuck grease. To begin, first heat some water; it doesn't need to boil, and mix it with grease-fighting dish soap. Then soak the grates and burners in the mixture for a few minutes to loosen the grease. Use a soft brush to remove residue and dirt.If the grates are too dirty and the hot soapy water doesn't work, then it's time to turn to vinegar. For this to work, you need to soak the grates and burners in vinegar overnight, so you can scrub and rinse them the next day.Now it's time to move on to the stove. First, wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove food residues, and then wash it with a sponge and soap. Rinse with your clean, damp cloth. It is likely that the stuck grease will not be removed with this first cleaning, so for this, you can use a mixture of 2 parts baking soda and 1 part vinegar to create a paste and apply it to the greasy spots.Once you've applied the paste, let it sit for about 15 minutes, then gently scrub with either a brush or a sponge. Wipe off the paste with a clean, damp cloth, and if necessary, repeat on the stickiest spots.Another way to use baking soda to remove grease is to sprinkle a layer over the spots, then scrub with half a lemon in circular motions. Since baking soda is slightly abrasive and lemon juice is a natural degreaser, together they will form a powerful paste to remove grease. Continue scrubbing until you can wipe away the grease with a sponge or damp cloth.Once you've finished removing the stuck grease from the entire stove, remember to ensure everything is well dried before putting the pieces back in place. To keep your stove clean, you can wipe it down with a degreaser or simply with a clean, damp cloth after each use.
