Almond Horchata

A delicious Mexican almond drink, prepare this delightful almond horchata recipe, serve it with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

  • 250 grams almonds, peeled
  • 1 water, fresh (boiled)
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • ice cubes, to taste

  • If the almonds are not peeled yet, soak them in hot water starting 1 day before and remove the skin.
  • In a blender, grind the almonds and add a little cold water.
  • Strain the almond water, squeezing well until only the juice remains (no lumps).
  • Add the sugar and ice, stir with enough water to fill the pitcher.
