Carajillo Recipe

This carajillo recipe is your best option to enjoy a coffee drink after a meal or for a gathering with friends. Not only is it refreshing, but it also has the perfect balance between the bitterness of coffee and the sweetness of the liqueur.

  • 20 tablespoons ground coffee, to prepare in your Royal Prestige® Barista
  • 2 cups water
  • ice cubes, to mix
  • 2 ounces Licor 43
  • ice cubes, to serve
  • coffee grains, to decorate

  • Add the coffee to the Royal Prestige® Barista.
  • Add water and cover with the piston raised.
  • Align the heating icon with the serving spout.
  • Open the valve, heat over medium-high until it whistles, and remove immediately from heat.
  • Let it steep for 2 minutes and slowly push the piston down to the bottom.
  • Close the valve and turn to the serving icon. Pour 2 ounces into a shot glass and set aside.
  • Pour enough ice, coffee, and Licor 43 into a cocktail shaker, then close and shake very well for 2 minutes.
  • Add enough ice and the mixed drink to an old fashioned glass, decorate the carajillo with coffee beans!
