Prickly Pear Mojito

Mojitos are already a great drink, but with this touch of prickly pear, you won't be able to go back to the traditional ones. This prickly pear mojito recipe is a drink based on rum, mint, lemon juice, but it is marinated with prickly pear to personalize it. Additionally, it has a touch of serrano chili, so this cocktail cannot be missing at your next Mexican party.

  • 1/2 cups spearmint
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cups lime juice
  • 2 limes, cut into eighths
  • 1/2 cups prickly pear, green, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cups white rum
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • prickly pear, cut into slices, for serving
  • spearmint, (leaves)
  • serrano chile, cut in half, for decoration

  • In a glass, crush the mint, sugar, and lemon juice with a muddler to extract the flavor.
  • Then add the lemons, prickly pear, and white rum, muddle again and fill with sparkling water. Reserve.
  • In a glass with ice, serve the previous preparation, add prickly pear and mint for serving, decorate with a serrano chili and enjoy.
