  • 4 cups water
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated piloncillo
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cups Mexican chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup masa dough
  • 1 cup water, fry
  • 2 tablespoons coffee, granulated, dissolved in 1 cup of water and strained

  • In a pot, heat the water and add the cinnamon stick, piloncillo, milk, and chocolate; let it dissolve. Heat for 5 minutes.
  • Blend the dough with the water and strain it. Set aside.
  • Add the dough to the pot and cook for 15 minutes or until it thickens.
  • Once the mixture is thick, add the coffee and mix.
  • Serve your champurrado in an enamel cup and pair it with a delicious sweet bread.
