Cuban Mojito

A delicious refreshing drink made with rum, mint leaves, lemon, and mineral water.

  • 200 milliliters sparkling water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, brown sugar (preferably muscovado)
  • 3 leaves spearmint
  • 1 lime
  • 2 ounces white rum

  • Place the sugar, lemon juice, and 3 mint leaves inside a highball glass.
  • Using a cocktail spoon, press to release all the flavor of the mint and mix the lemon juice with the sugar.
  • Add approximately 2 oz of rum, and fill the rest of the glass with mineral water.
  • Add a twist of lemon, and if desired, leave the peel inside (previously washed) and press again with the spoon to release all the juice.
