Chai Tea

Chai tea is energizing, so it is recommended to consume it in the morning; it helps regulate metabolism and aids digestion.

  • 2 cups low-fat milk, or light milk
  • 4 teaspoons black tea
  • 4 cloves
  • 8 pods cardamom, or seeds
  • 1 sprig cinnamon
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 1/4 cups sugar, or 6 packets of Splenda

  • Grind the spices in a mortar.
  • Boil the water for 10 minutes along with the spices.
  • Add the milk and sugar or Splenda and let it cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Strain before serving.
